Pride Publics: Words and Actions was a multisite exhibition organized by ONE Archives Foundation and curated by artist Rubén Esparza. It featured 28 LGBTQ+ artists, creatives, and writers, and staged visual dialogues between historical and contemporary changemakers.

The first installation of the exhibition began in June 2021 and featured a microsite that also functioned as an online exhibition catalogue. And in August 2021, to garner larger engagement and interest in the exhibition, a series of promotional media began its rollout, including mixtapes, conversation series, readings, and a photo archive. These were made available on various audio and social platforms in addition to the microsite.

Additional thumbnails that link to the respective media pages were added to the existing microsite.

Mixtapes
Four artists from the exhibition were invited to create exhibition soundtracks related to Pride Publics. The cover artwork for each of the mixtapes was designed in the established artistic style and color palette of the exhibition.
Conversation Series
For the conversation series, six pairs of featured creatives in Pride Publics engaged in improvised and unmoderated conversations. They would each ask the other artist a question they have prepared. Four of the conversations were recorded online, while two were recorded in person at ONE Gallery in West Hollywood.
The finished videos featured their own consistent typographic identity while relating back to the exhibition art style. The series was published on YouTube and Instagram, and the videos adapted to the different video formats on each platform. It was also played on a monitor at site #3 of the exhibition, situated inside the Intercultural Community Center at Occidental College, adding a rich media experience to the static exhibition.
